Nardine Collier – Barrister and Solicitor
Collier Lawyers Principal, Nardine Collier was admitted to practice in Darwin in January 1995 and has practiced in the areas of Family Law, Civil Litigation and Mediation.
Ms Collier became an accredited specialist in family law through the Queensland Law Society in 1999 and remains the only lawyer in Alice Springs with that qualification, and is also accredited as an Independent Children’s lawyer.
Nardine Collier can act in a professional capacity as both a barrister and solicitor.
Cost-effective Legal Representation
As Collier Lawyers can provide not only Solicitor services, but court representation, we can run most cases rather than hiring external counsel.
In Alice Springs, there are no barristers’ chambers and so hiring a barrister means bringing someone from Darwin or interstate at considerable expense.

Mediation
Sometimes a legal dispute can be resolved if the parties to the dispute can get together and talk about it. However, that is very difficult to achieve if emotions are high, and attempts to have a civil discussion fail because of anger or distress.
Collier Lawyers can arrange Mediation which can offer a way you and the other person in the dispute, can talk to each other in a structured environment, with a trained mediator helping you to discuss your issues.
Court proceedings are expensive and take many months, sometimes years to be finalised at great financial and emotional cost. The best outcome for separated parties is to reach agreement about dividing their property. The best outcome for children is their parents reaching agreement about their care.
The best agreements are the ones you make yourself, not ones imposed upon you by a court.
