The Principal of DF Mortimer & Associates is Derek Mortimer. Derek has produced seminal work on microfinance and is acknowledged as Australia's leading legal authority on the community land trust affordable housing model. Derek also advised and authored the Fundraising Institute Australia code of professional practice and complaints process.
Derek is the author of chapters on Dispute Management and Structures in Thomson Reuters Not for Profit Best Practice Manual amongst other publications and presentations on not for profit law. Derek sits on the Law Institute Victoria commercial law executive committee where he reports on issues affecting not for profit law.
