Our Director, Glenys has a multitude of experience in a large number of disciplines and areas of law and international experiences. Prior to working in her current role, Glenys qualified as an ecologist, and worked in the USA for the federal government as an International Environmental Lawyer involved in East-Asian and Pacific Rim issues.
She is also a qualified town planner, having worked in local governments in New Zealand and Queensland. Glenys was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in New Zealand and as a Solicitor in Queensland.
Currently, Glenys volunteers her services as a solicitor at the Logan Community Legal Centre two nights a month. She is a committee member of the Gold Coast District Law Association, and also sits on the Queensland Law Society's Property & Developmental Law Committee.
While living in Hawaii, Glenys was recognised by the Governor of Hawaii for her work as a volunteer literacy tutor in the prison. She was also very involved with pro bono legal services to US Vietnam veterans. Her strong interest in community and social justice means she is involved in a number of community initiatives, and supports the re-establishment of an evening Gold Coast community legal service run by volunteer lawyers.
